Moving back to the village became a practical choice for our family, primarily driven by our lifestyle and financial considerations.
As a stay-at-home mom and with my husband in a job transition phase, we found ourselves increasingly bored and financially strained in the city.
Our days were uneventful after dropping the kids off at school, compounded by the fact that we weren’t generating income while our expenses piled up.
Financially, our situation was unsustainable. Despite paying rent in the city, we were not utilizing our vacant village house, which meant we were effectively paying for two residences without adequate income.
Additionally, the lack of outdoor space in the city limited our activities and added to our sense of confinement.
The uncertainty of my husband’s job prospects also weighed heavily on us. Not knowing when he would secure another job exacerbated our stress levels and contributed to our overall dissatisfaction with city life.
Moving Back To The Village Offered Several Advantages.
First, it eliminated the financial burden of paying rent while owning an unused property. Second, the village environment provided us with more outdoor space and recreational opportunities which was beneficial for both physical and mental well-being. Finally, being closer to family and friends in the village provided us with a stronger support network during this uncertain time.
